About Us
We are a group of women who want to make a difference in our community and beyond. We provide both volunteers and donations for many different organizations such as our local schools and library, Civic groups such as Friends of the Children of Brevard, and Operation Smile, Our local police and fire department and recreation department. Organizations that help the environment such as the Central Brevard Humane Society, SB Beach Cleanup, Soles 4 souls, Health and Wellness programs such as the Daily Bread, The Sharing Center , and Satellite Cares. Programs that help women combat domestic violence and abuse. Organizations such as Zonta that prevent and assist victims of human trafficking. If you would like to have lots of fun while supporting these and many other worthy charities, please join us.
THE HISTORY OF SATELLITE BEACH WOMAN'S CLUB
The club was founded on April 28, 1964. We partnered with the city for the 1965 groundbreaking of the Satellite Beach Library and Civic Center. Our biggest fundraiser is FOUNDER’S DAY/MARKET PLACE which is held each November. Between 2002 and 2015 we raised $159,000 for the Save the Beach Community Project for Shell Beach. Some of the numerous things we have been involved with include Pelican Beach parking, tables, benches and dune crossovers, local school playground equipment, trees for the city, annual Scholarship for a Satellite Beach HS student, three annual scholarships for Satellite Beach MS and HS teachers, Band uniforms for Satellite Beach HS, Operation Smile, Veteran’s Transition Facility, Central Brevard Humane Society, Florida Wildlife Hospital, Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, Relay for Life, The Sea Turtle Preservation Society, and Satellite Cares to help the needy.
